What is an Affiliate Link?

Currently, NootropicGeek.com only receives commission for Opti-Nutra links; although future plans for the Amazon Affiliate program are in the works.

But what is an affiliate link? Essentially, an affiliate link is a url link that directs to a product listing, and that earns me a small commission if you purchase any products as a result of clicking on the affiliate link. Purchasing through an affiliate includes no additional costs for the buyer, yet buying through an affiliate link helps me maintain this site and feed my family.

For simplicity, assume that any link on NootropicGeek.com is an affiliate link and that I may/will make a commission if you purchase through these links (though, again, the price remains the same for you).

If you’re considering purchasing a product and would like to support my Nootropic Geek mission to provide helpful, informative, entertaining information on nootropics, I’d be very grateful if you chose to do so through one of the purchasing links attached at the bottom of any respective affiliate supplement reviews!

Why and Where Do I Use Affiliate Links?

I recommend products and supplement stacks that I personally use and support, even without attached affiliate links. In fact, most of the supplements I recommend to my readers I am not affiliated with (i.e., I receive no commission earnings for recommending them). My primary goal here is to assist my readers with their nootropic questions and concerns.

Any supplementary (ha ha) income I might make here is simply that: supplementary.

I do not accept free products for review, nor do I recommend any product that I would not personally take or have someone I love take.

For the most part, I limit affiliate links to their respective supplement reviews. For example, the Mind Lab Pro review (link here) supplies an affiliate link at the bottom that directs to mindlabpro.com. As I delve into Amazon Affiliate territory, I’ll amend this affiliate disclosure to explain my use of Amazon Affiliate links — however, these will also remain predominantly restricted to supplement reviews.

Affiliate links or no, my priority is to inform my readers on the wild world of nootropics. Any affiliate links I include on this site I use to promote this purpose.

My Role in Affiliate Programs

My role in any affiliate programs simply involves providing information on affiliate products and supplying links to where you can buy these products. Any issues with shipping time, product packaging, quality assurance, etc. are on the product’s company’s end.

In other words, if any problems occur with a particular product purchased through a link on this site, questions and concerns should be directed to the product’s company. Having said that, any companies that habitually demonstrate poor customer service or unsafe quality control will have their affiliate links removed from my site.
